Looking at picking up an AD50 that's 100 miles away. I love the AD voiced amps, but the mighty 140 LEAD can be a bit much. What do you guys think of em compared to the Ad's and the Orange range in general?
Also, is the eq a bax stack or a passive treble/bass, like on the OR100 and rockerverb clean channels?
Experience with AD50?

Nice, Custom Shop built amp, classy...
Don't think it had a Baxandall EQ. (Those can be either passive or active BTW)
Never played one so can't compare to the other ADs. Do like the idea of the foot-switchable 'sustain' which takes the preamp B+T tone controls out of circuit while leaving you the power stage 'presence' tone shaping.
I really doubt you'd hate it too much. (If all is healthy anyway.)
Andy.

Re: Experience with AD50?
Thanks Andy! I enjoy the tone bypass modes on almost any pedal or amp that has 'em. If I had the real estate and ears for it, I'd run my LEAD at full MV, Treble, and Mids, with the gain backed off to 3:00 and the bass at 10 to noon.a.hun wrote:Nice, Custom Shop built amp, classy...

Anyone own this amp or used to and want to throw down some experiential wisdom? The guts look nearly identical to the AD140 LEAD.
