I prefer the sound of the Marshall for the straight up playing, but the Orange has some really awesome gain, harmonics and undertones.

I wonder how they would sound with the same speakers (M's are a lot different than H's). I still like the Orange... it's a bit too "soft" here but so much more complex and responsive.

That Orange needs more low end dialed in.

He does '76 OR-80 vs Superlead as well.

I agree. I wasn't as impressed by the ORST as I thought I should have been in this video to be honest.

However, I had seen the OR80 vs SLP video before and I was very impressed with the OR80. I preferred it much over the marshall by a landslide. Maybe I like the OR120/80 sound better than the ORST or it was just in the mic and video this go around, but I find that his videos are pretty consistent with giving a fair comparison.

I must be weird. I really prefer the sound of the ORST in that video. Maybe the Orange could be dialed in differently, but to me the Marshall's midrange sounds oddly scooped, and the upper mids sound hyped, when stood up against the ORST. I also prefer the OR80 in the other video, but by a smaller margin. I wonder how much of the difference is cabinets and mic placement?

Finally managed to give these videos a listen.

I'll be totally honest here. I wouldn't mind owning the 4 of them.
There you go - I've said it. Some great tones in all 4 if them. I'd be curious to listen to the ORST in the same room - something tells me it would sound (or feel, perhaps that's a better word) quite different to what we hear in the recording.

Most likely. I really love the way an OrMat OR100 sounds and an ORST has to be related to that amp and that sound. What I heard from the ORST in that video was very dark and sorta wonky.
