V30's vs g12k100's

Sorry if this has been covered before but I have a ppc412hp8 that I've been using with my old Sunn amp and it sounds great. I also have a 412 Marshall cab with v30's that sounds great with my supergroup. Well, I got an or100 and I'm not sure either one is a perfect match for it. I'm contemplating getting two 8ohm v30's and swapping them into the orange cab... I've heard it's a great sound. I really don't have room for another half stack at the studio and am pretty broke after picking up the amp. Would the orange v30 cab sound much better than the Marshall with the same speakers? Thoughts on mixing v30's and g12k100's in the same cab?

It's almost amazing how much of a difference in tone cabinet construction makes alone. Is the ppc412hp8 the same unloaded cab as the standard ppc412?
I actually prefer a metal grilled cab loaded with v30's with the or100, as it keeps the high a little more crisp without getting into the cold and boomy stereotypes of the high wattage handling hi-fi speakers.

It seems to be the same dimensions. Some sites list them a bit different but as far as I can tell it's the 412c (I assume c is for compact) that is smaller.

The PPC412C is noticably smaller then the regular ppc and the hp8 versions.
