I think 3K is too much for an amp too, but I don't think this CS 40th anniversary amp is overpriced since only 40 were made and a normal custom shop production head can cost above 2K.

I have been wanting a Hiwatt DR103 Custom 100 and an Orange Matamp OR100 and 200 for years now, and I have never seen those within my price range either.

At least they are popping up for sale so you can see pictures of some. I would pay 3K for an Ormat, though admittedly.

I am lucky to own an OR120. I wonder how far off it really sounds compared to an Ormat OR100 anyway?
