Politics are interesting but i will leave it at that...
I'm hoping the one I'm planning to get will be good. It's a 1999 by the serial number.

I had an explorer a while back with bareknuckle pick ups and was very impressed with the tones, so I'm hoping those bareknuckles will be similarly impressive!
What bareknuckle pickup's are in it ....?
Crawler.

Neck is traditional paf type, the bridge is super hot, around 15.4KΩ.

Looking forward to try it!

If talking politics is really against forum rules (which I can absolutely appreciate) perhaps it'd be best to close down or retitle this thread...since some are, understandably so, clicking on + posting thinking it's a venue to talk about politics...

Are SGs better than than politics?

Yes! ..... funnily enough I'm just watching on TV Clapton play his 'fools,' SG in cream.....

More reliable, more interesting to listen to and more sincere and real .....

Good to hear!

Here's my 1999 SG special:

Image

It plays very nice, and did sound nice when I tried it through the seller's peavey delta blues.

I'll have to wait to try it out through my Oranges though - kids and family duties will keep me busy this weekend.

Any, defo a player's guitar, not been abused, but it's got a number of small dings and the back has some lovely lacquer checking. It actually looks really cool!!!

Really looking forward to try it through my Oranges.
The peavey he had was nice, but note definition / articulation with overdrive wasn't great - a common disappointment when playing cheaper amps.

All in all, at the price I got it for, I'm really 0leased and can easily live with the worn in feeling.

I reckon that'll be a lot better than politics!!!!!

thejay wrote:Looks like no one from the US chimed in... regardless it will be interesting as always. The same uproar happens all the time when elections take place it's really no different. it's media pouring gas on a fire helping to fuel the negative.

Anyway... what SG you thinking about? :D
I didn't chime in cuz I didn't really understand the title of the thread or the first post. If I took it literally I'd say I love Gibson SG's and I'm satisfied with the current US political outcome and look forward to some positive change. Lets build that wall, matter fact lets build another one to keep you crusty Europeans out to LOL. Joking of course on both counts.

I'm really eyeing those 2017 SG Standards, looking forward to them coming out so I can get my hands on one to try out. I'll take a left handed in cherry please. The only thing I don't like are the Grovers, I think I'd change them out for Klusons.

Here's my SG

And for anyone outside the US, keep in mind that the new guy didn't win the popular vote and was therefore elected by 25% of the eleibile electorate. So, when you see the hateful, hurtful, decidedly un-PC stuff on the news, remember only 25% of us are like that. I hope everything turns out okay and we all live to see the post Trump era SGs.
