Clutch!
I'm assuming they have an Orange endorsement? Epitome of good Orange tone:

Crikey that guy has got some voice on him.
The guitarist is also a big fan of the TT.

Re: Clutch!
That's awesome, x-ray visions is my favorite clutch tune. Did anybody make out what amps were on the stage?
Re: Clutch!
Tim Sult of Clutch is featured on the Orange web site and talks about his attraction to Orange amps.
I watched most all of the video link. There are more of Clutch on YouTube. They have become my favorite band these days. I like their straightforward attitude and the fact that it is the original lineup of members that's been plugging away for 20 years. They do get a European tour together often, so check them out.
In a small way, they sort of influenced my thoughts about giving Orange amps a try.

Re: Clutch!
Clutch is great. They're the reason I looked into Orange amps in the mid 90's. I saw Tim use OR120's in the 90's and it changed the way I thought about guitar tone (I was really into metal prior to that). Since then he's used AD30's, Rockerverbs, OR100s, Tiny terrors and who knows what else but I still like his OR120 tone best.

Thee best band around. I saw them live in Chicago back in 98, 12 more times since and everytime is like seeing them for the first time. I was hooked on Orange from that show. Sold my motorcycle and bought an Orange. Now I can't stop.

Re: Clutch!
He wahs really, really, reaallllyyyy quickly and precisely. He picks out different areas in the sweep of the pedal to create different effects. It's kind of amazing to watch. I understand he goes through wah pedals constantly.
Re: Clutch!
The video link below is not recent, but Tim Sult explains about his guitar's, amps, and briefly about way pedals
that he has used.
His licks, it seems, are often very simple, but in the context of his band, very effective. Clutch, to me, is a prime
example of just how a band (four-piece) can blend together as "one" entity. It's what I look for when comparing one band to another. There never seems to be anything "out of place". They truly have learned to play and perform as "one". Perhaps that is really what appeals to their fans; combine that with the fact that Clutch has been together far longer than most bands, and it just adds to their appeal.

Re: Clutch!
Dang...didn't know that was how he was doing that. I tried it today and it is very hard to do precisely all while keeping the notes together on the guitar!yossarian83 wrote:He wahs really, really, reaallllyyyy quickly and precisely. Re: Clutch!
Just signed onto the forum today and quite happy to see some Clutch love! I bought a OR15 yesterday and it should be here tuesday. Can't wait. I also already own the OB1 500 bass amp.
