Live outdoor gig last night
Played a free fan appreciation show on the common in our town last night. Had a blast - two hour show no breaks. Here's some pix:

Really love your gold leaf tele.
How is the hello kitty one? I've been looking at one on ebay, thinking of getting it and making it giggable.....

When I was playing out I always preferred outdoor gigs. "What's that? More volume? Check!" Looks like a blast.
How often in a night do you pull out the Johnny A.?

One of the only times I find myself in full agreement with the soundguyNorrin Radd wrote:When I was playing out I always preferred outdoor gigs. "What's that? More volume? Check!"
"What did you say? I need to turn up the volume on my boost cause the solo was to low?! "... I do love repeating that and just staring at our singer!!

It's only a Hello Kitty strap - the guitar is a refinished 1983 Stratocaster - in Dunkin Donuts' pink.

I usually use the JA for a number of songs, but last night I had it capo'd for a specific song and tuned to the capo so I only used it on one song.Norrin Radd wrote:When I was playing out I always preferred outdoor gigs. "What's that? More volume? Check!" Looks like a blast.

The other thing that I wished I had learned YEARS ago was to buy a good set of monitor wedges. Our soundman has some good JBL's but these two Turbosound wedges I bought are just simply awesome. I frequently have to ask him to turn them DOWN!

I've actually been looking at them, too, but maybe the black one. Here's a picture of me and my pink Strat from last night:MikeD wrote:We really need to see the pick with the "full on pose" and the Kitty-strat!!

Nice!! Looks like a blast!
I don't see a velvet rope or metal barriers between you and the fans though. Glad you made it out unscathed.
EDIT: The gold leaf Tele is still Boss.

That rusty Tele bridge looks so rock n roll... more than the Strat does anyway
