This is ridiculous (Reverb listing)

Post by alexauxier » Mon May 23, 2016 4:03 pm

Conservatively I'd value these items at $7500. $18,000 is nothing short of insanity.

I don't think I've ever seen a realistic price on Reverb. They always seem to be high or stupidly high....

... and that pricing for the Oranges is just absurd.

The seller is in Canada if that means anything. (Most stuff I've seen from Canada tends to be priced high...)

The speakers in the cabs will make a huge difference to the value if matched and original Celestion / Fanes

No, we're taking that into account. Old speakers are very nice, but not THAT expensive! ;)

I bought a case for my Peavey T-60 and a PPC112 off Reverb.com.

Both were priced according to current market value and in good condition. I haven't had a problem with Reverb yet..

Andy.
I looked again, I was off a couple amps...lol my bad.
I thought there were four total.

Yep.....not THAT expensive

I've noticed this past year prices have been much higher on Reverb than experienced before, I rarely go to it anymore

Everything about this is gold. "all these pieces are in really great shape." The grill on the cool 60's cab looks like it survived Katrina. I wanted to laugh, but once I saw the original open faced cab cover, my wallet shot out of my pocket.

I would love to find an old Voice Of The World 4x12 cab. I've only seen like four of those. Only one in real life.

You might not be so wrong about Katrina. Back of one of those cabs showed it had been stored damp / been very wet. And yeah, some tatty looking speaker grille, also through damp - or worse.

The PA heads are useful but not that valuable, other amp is worth more, but not thousands more. Four cabs, ???condition, contents or dates, total joker asking that sort of money I'd say...

(Hope nobody actually believes them and buys anything!) :!:

Not that I'm defending that price, but our dollar absolutely sucks right now. I've avoided buying anything because everything is priced so high here right now. Tiny Terrors are almost $300 more than they were 4 years ago.

Still insane though. My guess is they're not really interested in selling, but looking at it for sale if someone with money to burn really wants it. Tundra Music is an actual music store here and those photos don't look like they're from the shop.
