Let me introduce myself.

Post by Stu Cazz » Fri Mar 04, 2016 12:15 pm

Hi everybody.

Only wanted to say hello.

And to thank you all, because everytime I had a question or wanted info about something Orange related I ended
in this nice place.
But the lately I find myself often lurking here around and reading trough the posts, just for fun.
So the next logical step was to become a member.
Nice to find a place like this with helpful and educated people.

Ok, here's a pic of my monsters, Thunder 30 with my beloved 14 Traditional:

Image

I like this two together because of the versatility, it's awesome how much different sounds you get with only six knobs.
Well, and four on the guitar, of course. The head is stock, but I have a plan to swap the 12ax7's for 5751's.
The Trad is wired 50's and has Luxe bee's in it, that paired with the 59 Tribute humbucker trough the TH30 is pure magic.

Well that's all,
Cheers and see you around!

I should be getting my TH30 by Thursday. How does she sound through the two single 12" cabs? I can't wait to hear it. That's an awesome jamming room you got. Jealous

Thank you all for the warm welcoming!
And finally a place where people know the REAL secret behind TRUE TONE AWESOMENESS: 2 parts of Nashville glory and one part british (brit/chinese in my case) Noisemonster!
Let me share another recipe:
One part of Nashville glory stays, the LP in my case.
But feel free to try with other axe's.
Add some canadian bliss ( Crystal Skull Vodka)
Mixed with freshly squeezed Valencian orange juice.
Then plug into your favorite speaker-shaker and done.
Best metal tonez ever!

First I had only the Micro Terror and one PPC112. Loved it.
But then I thought I go for something bigger, plan was to buy a Rockerverb MKII and a PPC212OB.
Went to my dealer and they had no Rockerverb head's, but the TH30 was there.
Price was reduced and I was curious, I had heard good stuff but lot's of negative too.
The only thing that I found wasn't great was the lack of reverb, but it was such a nice deal that I could add some reverb later.
Once at home everything was cool, the only problem was that I had lots of bass but the other frequencies didn't make it to my ear's.
Easy fix another PPC112 made me a happy camper. It projects the sound much better through the room.

In the end I'm happy that I didn't go with a PPC212.
And also am I satisfied with the TH30, it's so easy to use and it does cover all the sounds I need.
And the clean channel is insane paired with the EHX Cathedral, perfect match.

Good to hear. I have a Polara by digitech for reverb. We play mostly classic rock, but I also love stoner metal and heavier stuff when we aren't jamming. Thanks for the info.

Hi Chuckbat.
I think you are gonna love the TH30.

I heard often that his voicing wansn't right for certain kinds of music.
But I would disagree with some statements.
I play with medium output gibson pickups.
57 Classic/Angus Young and
59 Tributes wich are a tad "softer".
And I get pretty close to Peter Green sounds out of it,
Especially with the 59's just using vol/tone
knobs on my guitar.
Bob Marley? No problem, Cry Baby Mini on vintage setting and I'm there.
And for those days, when everybody seems to have the goal to bust my balls I'll just tweak the shape dial in some mo gain and hello sabbath! Still angry?
Not for long a few Mastodon-ish riffs and I'm smiling again.
