Favorite Pedal Reviewer?
Hey All, I'm wondering who you turn to for pedal reviews on the web? Besides Pete Thorn

Shnobel has quite a view decent and comprehensive pedal reviews.

Re: Favorite Pedal Reviewer?
Probably Andy from the Proguitarshop review. I also like Gearmandude.

Rob Chapman, Rabea Massad, Cpt Andterton. Their videos are both instrucitonal and entertaining. And of course Gearmandude (aka Jack Black)

I read/watch as many as I can. My favourites are Mike Hermans (he did great reviews for Prymaxe) and Andy from Proguitarshop.

Re: Favorite Pedal Reviewer?
I think it's bad form to propagate the idea that any of these gentlemen give fair reviews or critiques on pedals. Aside from a select few who do unbiased comparisons (Shnobel), most these folks are paid by the pedal companies to advertise their products. That is not a review. I'd hesitate to call any of those names reviewers, as I have never heard any of them except Pete Thorn and the Anderton crew (but they only seem to know what they're doing 50% of the time) say anything negative about a pedal ever.
If we're talking demo artists Orange should hire to show off the Bangeetar, I'd say Andy at Proguitarshop and Mike Hermans are the best.

For compressor reviews:

For bass gear:
http://www.bassgearmag.com/Magazine" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(Tech reviews following the main reviews are excellent!)
Oh, and (according to yourself Alex!) myself for the Bax Bangeetar...
http://forum.orangeamps.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=54057" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(You never did link to that on FB, or did you?)
Hope those help a little anyway.
Andy.

Another vote for Andy at Proguitarshop. He's always playing something that really showcases what the pedal can do.

Re: Favorite Pedal Reviewer?
Justnick, more of a real world review for me. I've found that Mike Hermans and Andy at Pro Guitar Shop, while well produced demos, can make a turd sound good.
Gearmandude is good as well.

+1 for Andy at PGS and Prymaxe Vintage are the first and many times only places I go. A little talk, if any, and a lot of playing.Ronnie Robinson wrote:Probably Andy from the Proguitarshop

Re: Favorite Pedal Reviewer?
just add to the list for Andy @ proguitarshop, Schnobel and occasionally pryemax.
if you are looking for a pro review of the Bax, then make sure it isnt Chappers as he will dime it while chugging on his own guitar and miss the point entirely

Re: Favorite Pedal Reviewer?
I always go to Gearmandude because he shuts up and plays, plus he does side-by-side shootouts. These are the exact same reasons why I can't stand Rob Chapman's reviews.
