Ok, bit late to the party but I've been busy on a new PC build

I really like the intro guitar/(main theme) on there too!
Paul.

Very late to the party but I'd like to recommend a few unconventional solos.

First my favorite guitar solo of all time. Sonic Youth's "Incinerate". The whole song is great and highly underrated. The guitar solo is not the most technical and like most Sonic Youth songs it is in a crazy tuning but it just fits the emotion of the song so perfectly.

2nd one I am recommending is "Moscow Nights" by the Feelies. Don't really have a great reason for this one other than the fact that I've always loved this song and the solo is such a great climax for the song.
