Wow.... I can't believe how much I missed coming here! I was jonesing for some Orange info.

I just did an outdoor gig last week with my Orange AD140TC and two 4X12 cabs for the first time. I was shocked at how much louder and fuller the head was with two cabs vs one cab! MAN!!! the tone from this thing was just unbelievable. We pulled a noise variance permit which meant we couldn't be shut down until 10 PM at any volume so it was definitely a rocking show...

and I just did an acoustic show this past Saturday and decided to use my AD30TC combo as onstage support for my acoustic- just to add a little stage volume and fullness, which was fabulous. Billy

Have just recently started giging with the AD30R and it really is amazing. Sounds even better hooked up to a 4x12 cab!

out of interest, what 4*12 do you use. Ive got a marshall one but ive not actually had a chance to test them out live together yet.

Also lizard (or anyone else whith an ad30r), i really need your help. On the reverb tank, which wire goes into which socket on the reverb tank. On mine the black goes to the input (the one on the volume side), and the red to the output, (the one on the gain side). Is this correct?

Cheers
Adam

I have two vintage Orange 4X12's. One is loaded (recently) with Celestion Vintage 30's- the other with Emminence. Both had them to begin with and I thought the V30's would be so much better. They're really only marginally better- slightly louder and edgier but, really, very little difference.

The weight of the cabs made a huge difference since the stage swayed... and the Orange swayed too but stayed put. My Marshall cabs would have gone over in a second. Billy

Adam,

The red input goes on the side down from the Gain knob and the black input on the Master Volume side. From your description it sounds like you've got it right. Be sure to check the chassis connection for the reverb to make sure that isnt loose at all. If the reverb isnt workin still then the obvious thing would be to check that the tubes are ok. I would perhaps post a new message as this is not at all my territory.

Holy $*&%! I can't believe the forum is back! I was about to give up on this b*%ch! I have missed this place so much! I played a benefit show last Sat for a friend (r.i.p.) and tore it up! I used my vintage OR120 (pics only) head with a 90's era Orange cab and went off the hook! Glad to have y'all back!
