NGD!

Post by Bensnake » Sun Sep 27, 2015 11:23 am

Here is my new Classic Player Baja Tele. Wasn't looking for another axe but visited a shop yesterday and the guitar felt just right. Have tested a couple of Baja's during the years and liked them though none of them was 'something special' if you know what I mean. This guitar has it all; the accoustic tone, the overall feel, the neck... It's supposed to be a soft V but feels and looks more like a C shape to me. However, awesome guitar. :D

I've been a Tele guy for quite some time now and I've always thought the Baja and the Hot Rod '52 were two absolutely smokin guitars. Congrats!

Nice Tele Bensnake, congrats!

I was a bit late joining the 'Tele' crowd here myself. But it is true, they definitely do the trick with Oranges!

When first checking them out it was actually between the Baya and the Squier CV I ended up with. Liked the Baya too, especially the 4-way switch which I fitted on the CV. I guess I just happened to find a nicer playing CV than Baya and didn't mind paying less. Nice you found one which you gelled with, and I do love the Butterscotch Blonde. Nice indeed!

Thanks all for your kind words. I've always been a Les Paul guy though since I bought my first Tele almost two years ago I'm about to convert... :D

Thought I was a Strat (/ soapbar Gibson) guy for long enough. Now I realise what I'd been missing all that time. Still like the Strat, big soft spot for soapbars. But Teles are way more versatile than I'd ever realised and now have 3. (Well, two CV Teles and one called a 'Breezysound', for that many thanks to Foef!) All different, love them all.

Dangerous addiction, just ask Billy!

Grats! I love my Baja (a black and yellow burst) and the rest of my Tele family! It's got this great bounce to the action, I love the fat neck, and it's got this unique sort of clanky character.

Congrats!!
Looks beautiful!

Teles in general and bajas in particular are really one of the best guitars out there! :D 8)

I really love my '60s Baja, wonderful neck, lots of different sounds with that 4-way switch, stays in tune and doesn't feel heavy.
Hell, i'll probably end up selling my SG to get another one with that fatter neck!
