Matamp 4x12 for Rockerverb 50 MK II?

I have someone offering me a matamp 4x12 with the following description: "These cabs were a custom shop order item. I ordered them without badges, loaded with G12T speakers, in Orange tolex with tweed grills. The G12T speaker is known as The Hot 100. They are 400 watt cabs rated at 16 ohms. The Orange tolex is called Orange Peel as it actually resembles the peel of an orange. This covering was a limited option as it was not a standard option from Matamp. They are hand built in Great Britain by order."
I have a rockerverb 50 mkii head that I'd be playing through it. The price is definitely right. What are your thoughts?

Yeah, he is asking less than half the price of a new orange ppc 4x12. I have just heard some bad things about those speakers with oranges.

Those speakers sound great with oranges. It's the G12-T75 that sounds bad with oranges. And even that's a matter of opinion. The 1990s orange 4x12 cabinets came loaded from the factory with G12-t75s.

All tone is subjective. I personally don't like Vintage 30s with Oranges and think that G12H30s fit the bill much better. After all, they fit the bill in the 70s.

Yeah. Hopefully I will have them by the end of the week.

Hot 100s are fine with Orange or Matamp - tried them with both. Not as nice as some of the higher end Celestions, but fine all the same...
