That's a very good pedal indeed.
Defo something I'd consider seriously using with my AD15 - I haven't found the right balance between cleans / dirt / lead yet. Not far off, but not quite there.
That could be a neat solution really.

That seems like a great idea. I invented the concept of an "underdrive" pedal like 3 weeks ago though, so I'm super pissed at those dudes.

Hmm. Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just roll back the volume on your guitar?
Re: This a neat pedal for single channel amps
Cheaper and easier but why do that when you can get a pedal
Neat idea... Interested in hearing it but not sure it's something I would be picking up. Mad professor makes some quality gear though I have had a couple pedals in the past

Yes, but the pedal is based around the overdrive frequencies to clean the amp up giving you more control.bclaire wrote:Hmm. Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just roll back the volume on your guitar?

I thought this was your sig. pedal. Those bastards!Randy Bass wrote:That seems like a great idea. I invented the concept of an "underdrive" pedal like 3 weeks ago though, so I'm super pissed at those dudes.
Re: This a neat pedal for single channel amps
curious.. is there any benefit to this vs, say setting a clean then using a boost that has an eq?.. it seems that in both cases you set one tone manually and set the other with the pedal.
i would be interested to know how others approach the similar situation..for tonal/volume variety?
in my case, i have tried..
a) EH nanopad as switchable attenuator (2 options)
b) Compressor for boost plus Overdrive with EQ (4 options)
c) currently the ParaEQ + boost (3 options, sadly cannot have boost without EQ)

Re: This a neat pedal for single channel amps
You won't get the same crunch or overdrive tone your amp produces on it's own as you're hitting the front end of the pre-amp with a boost. The amps volume or gain control comes after the first gain stage.Mystic38 wrote:curious.. is there any benefit to this vs, say setting a clean then using a boost that has an eq?.. it seems that in both cases you set one tone manually and set the other with the pedal.

Re: This a neat pedal for single channel amps
The difference, as far as I understand it, is that its for users want to hear their amp dirty tones as it comes - presumably those who really enjoy their amps overdrive without tweaking yet still have the option and more versatility with clean tones.Mystic38 wrote:curious.. is there any benefit to this vs, say setting a clean then using a boost that has an eq?.. it seems that in both cases you set one tone manually and set the other with the pedal.

No idea how successful it will be but certainly worth looking at imo.

Should work a treat. Concept came up HERE (again) the other day. Been doing it for years myself. Should just have kept my big mouth shut clearly...Randy Bass wrote:That seems like a great idea.
