It's Mad Prof, so it's going to be outrageously expensive for what it is. This idea has been done before and not really gained much attention. I used to use an EQ pedal for the same purpose, and for awhile a Spark Booster. It's an idea that looks cool on paper but in the end I wound up using my guitar volume and tone because it's simpler.

The demo sounds pretty good though. All boils down to how they designed it to work.

I'm with you, no need for a pedal to do that

HMM... Under drive pedal > Amps crunch> Booster pedal could be a 3 channel set up?

I couldn't do that when I'm using the AD15. I need to switch between cleanish and dirty instantly, dont bhave a break for it.
Sometimes using the 2 pick ups on my LP can be OK, with switching done with pick up selector.

Horrible demo. The guy goes from playing hard power chords, to really gentle finger picking when he turns on the pedal. It also appears he changes pickups on his guitar when he turns on/off the pedal. Not a good way to get an example of how to pedal sounds.

You guys riding the volume pot are obviously not covering 'Smells like Teen Spirit' :)

Looks like a neat pedal to me.

I think so too. The volume pot things works...no doubt. The thing I like about this is the use of frequencies to clean up the sound. I've tried doing similar with an EQ pedal but you lose alot of the response and it doesn't work great.

Couldn't you just set the amp cleanish with a overdrive or distortion pedal

You can get the same result with an eq pedal like the GE7 by setting the level below zero, but still I wouldnt mind trying one of these when they come out and see if they can do it better. I also have a pedal from EHX called the Signal Pad that does this but again theres no eq on it to adjust the tone.

That's how I do it these days, cleanish and boosts + fuzz.
I just can't use the volume pot on the fly, it doesn't work for me.

There's also the Heavy Electronics Descend that fits in this category of pedal. http://www.heavyelectronics.com/DE/DE.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
