Nah, good for them. Gotta be a tough business. Probably a cool pedal too.

I saw this a few weeks ago. I'm guessing BAT designed the circuit, and DOD mass produced it?

I wouldn't say "sold out" as much as "helped out a generally lesser quality company." I have no problem with Digitech contracting out better developers to bring a high quality low cost product to the masses. They did the same thing with Lexicon to develop their new Polaroid reverb pedal which I've heard good things about, but I've never been about reverb outside the studio.

I was being sarcastic with the comment.

I certainly hope DOD pedals are a lot better made than they were in the late 80's/90's. They would seem to last a week before they'd break back then. That's without any abuse, either. I remember I wasn't the only person without that issue, too.

Sounds pretty interesting, actually. I wouldn't mind giving it a go.

In other pedal related news.

Apparently, Chapman Guitars (Rob Chappers) are releasing a pedal this year... Makes you sound out of tune, makes you play the same three heavy riffs on the dirty setting, makes you play the two same Country style riffs on the 'Not Even Clean' setting. Has one On/Off switch located next to the overblown ego 9V power supply.

Does it have a sense of humour?

That fact that I a) understand all of this b) find it hilarious demonstrate that I spend way too much time on gear forums.

I have the Marshall YJM ...it has a built in boost from DOD: sounds like poo. Without it it sounds like a cranked plexi, with it: poo. You can't crush it, but it sounds like "DOD" from the '80s still.
