Nothing!

Started learning electric with a Crush 30R and bought the Rocker a few years later. I had a Peavey TNT 130 for a while to bi-amp with, but that was just a loan from a friend.

Fender silverface Twin
68 Fender Bassman
65 Fender Bandmaster modded with four output tubes *
2 Marshall JTM-45's (one head now in a Bluesbreaker combo) *
Marshall 6101 30th Anniversary combo *
Oranges: 2 OR80M's; AD140TC; 2 AD30TC's; OR15: Tiny Terror; Micro Terror *

Amps with an asterisk I still have... these are ones I've played out with - then there are other amps for practicing, etc.

Nice** I definitely like Marshall JTM 45's. The anniversary amp was pretty nice too. I had a friend that had the head and another that had the one twelve combo. I thought the Marshall vintage modern amps were nice too. I am surprised they discontinued those. I think that might of been around when some of the Marshall guys started Blackstar. Blackstar makes some nice stuff too. The Ht60 was something that I considered before going to Orange, just because the price was good and they sounded great. I am so glad that I listened to my gut and went with my almost 20 yr long desire for an Orange.

I had a Ross amp first, then a Tubeworks, then a Peavey Stereo Chorus 150 (nice amp for cleans btw), then a Trace Elliot Speed Twin 50 (awesome!), then an Orange Rockerverb 50 C (mkI). I now have the Marshall YJM and a Vintage Modern, so I guess I could rename this thread to "after Orange" for me. I am thinking about a Thunderverb in the near future though, so no need to be hasty. :)

Cool! What do you think of the Yngwie signature? Never played one myself but from what I've seen on vids it's pretty good.

Well, they'd be all before Orange, since my Terror Bass 1000 is my first one, so from memory in chronological order, omitted a few random small practice amps I had in the past 26+ years of playing:

Fender Sidekick Bass 30 (Very first amp that I got as a "package deal" with my first bass.)

Ampeg B-115 combo (An attempt to get a "bigger amp," albeit 120 watts was no match for my guitarist friend's 130 watt Peavey Special combo, which he liked to crank, so...)

Peavey Databass 450 watt combo (Loud at f*** and now I could keep up. Seriously regretted getting rid of that thing for many years until I got the Orange, anyway)

Peavey Mark IV stack with a Black Widow 15" speaker (Impulse buy because it was cheap and served me well along with the Databass, but sold it to buy a Kawai Alembic copy bass.)

Fender BXR300 combo (Foolishly in retrospect got this to replace the Databass because it sounded a lot better, which it did, but wound up being problematic down the road when I need more "oomph," so...)

Ampeg SVT 3 Pro with Carvin 15" and Crate 2x10" cabs (I wanted to have an Ampeg, fell for the hype I guess :P so I got this thing but it really never gelled with me and wound up blowing the transformer on the thing at one point. Definitely missed the Peavey at that point. Either of them.)

Peavey Standard head from 1973 (It was $100 and all I could afford while the Ampeg was out of commission, which took me a long time to be able to get fixed. Dark times, indeed and being poor sucks. :P )

Fender Rumble 350 combo (Got it back in 2012 after not even having a proper amp for quite a few years. I left the Ampeg behind along with my past life and everything else I owned except for a suitcase and a train ticket. Pretty good amp with a lot of that so called "ooph." Still have it, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on the Orange and now I have a proper stack at last that will shake the rafters, if I need to.)

I also have an 1982 Fender Super Champ which I use for guitar. I'd like to get some sort of Orange amp to match with my bass head for when I might play guitar live, which I hadn't done prior to maybe 3 years ago. I could use the Fender (and might have to,) but I'd rather keep it at home since it's in excellent condition and never been used live with one previous owner.

Back in the mid 70's as a kid in Newcastle, my nana gave me (what seemed to be) a huge sum of money.. i was 15.. it disappeared in a single Saturday afternoon on a SG Standard, a Marshall 50W head and 212 cab (cant remember which models).. to play in a bedroom that was 9ft x 6ft...lol.. sold it all when i joined the services at 17 (smh)..

in USA since 91, some very forgettable SS amp was first, paired with a LP studio (also subsequently flushed, due to unforgiving work schedule)

Then it was a blues jr for 10 years before Orange.. still have it..
