Very well done demo. I really liked the clean and cleanish sounds, but didn't like the tone when it was cranked. That may be more of a Strat factor as I don't care for them much. Would like to hear it with humbuckers.

Thanks for sharing. :) This model ain't no "pics only". Are there any differences between the amp in the vid and the pics only model (pic below)?

That all sounded like the amp needed to be turned up. It wasn't quite in the sweet spot for the cleans, and it just sounded like you had a distortion box in front of it for the dirty stuff. I've never heard an Orange break up like that and still sound that much like a pedal.

Not many really. There were some gentle progressive tweaks and a few slightly bigger tweaks over the years, but nothing hugely drastic. They are basically very similar amps.

Thanks for the demo Or80324. It did show some stuff about the amp pretty clearly, like the dynamics. Fortunately the recording wasn't too heavily compressed at all and you could definitely hear things going from soft to loud and back again as you changed amp and guitar settings. It showed just how uncompressed these amps are, not just getting more distorted but also a lot LOUDER as you wind things up. And also how quickly sustained notes and chords fade away too. These are definitely among the least compressed amps out there - if you want long sustain you'll need to use a compressor or a fairly saturated overdrive / distortion pedal, not rely on the amp itself, even at high volume levels. Classic blues era Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green recordings show that well too.

That breaking up sound is the mic clipping....just saying. You need to move the mic back, or reduce it's sensitivity at the input. Other than that it was fine. :)
