Garden party-orange style!!
My wife decided to throw a small party and seeing that we had a gig free weekend I might of gone a little overboard....
...of course a beer machine in close proximity to "the drummer" is a must!!
whilst everyone was bbq-ing we ran through some new material and songs from our recent ep acoustic-style
then of course we brought on some orange goodness and rocked out with some of the classics
..it seems that "mikestock" is going to be a yearly event and next year we are being sponsered with armbands and several other friends with bands have shown interest in coming out and jamming...

Garden parties, festivals DIY-style are really fun. I've arranged those sometimes at a friends large house/garden. We're talking right now about doing it again soon, before autumn kicks in!

Awesome. My immediate thought was, where's the drum kit but I guess that might be a step too far for some of your neighbours
Re: Garden party-orange style!!
Sound like you had a great time
A friend threw a garden party/jam session last night
A few beers, good music....
I didn't take much persuading to get up for an impromptu set
And we did have a drum kit

I don't know about elsewhere but here in beautiful Marlborough MA we need to pull a noise variance permit to circumvent any noise complaints. We had a Labor Day afternoon party two years ago and someone across the lake called the police. Two cop friends of mine showed up and couldn't understand why they were called but we still got a warning from the city that if it happened again we would be fined. We had 12 boaters that were out front listening, a yard full of friends, and we had done it before but it only takes one a-hole to ruin it.

seeing that we live quite rural and almost everyone around here knows everybodies else's business as long as its a once in a while occasion people are just Happy about some new gossip. The last time I had a big outdoor party was 8 years ago and one old lady was complaining at church to my elderly neighbour about the noice and music and she just replied..."I know...I was their all night!!";-)..thank god for awesome neighbours!!bclaire wrote:Looks like it was a great time!

that's what I said...I mean I left at least half of the lights, the drumstage, the 212 and half of the PA at the rehearsal studioRonnie Robinson wrote:A little Overboard?......No I dont think so

sweet!!...yupp drums are on the list for next year. But my drummer is awesome on his canon...and we miced it up so it sounded really fat!! He's even got a tamburine on one foot and a shaker on the other....guess that's where all the beer went due to exercise!!jdm wrote:Sound like you had a great time

what is that...beer machine? I have never seen it's like before
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy
Re: Garden party-orange style!!
its a draughmaster!!!...its a fridge and compressor....you fill it with a large beer capsule and it presses it through the tap....carlsberg never tasted better!!! I always chuck in some halfpint pitchers ibid the freezer so you get that "served on tap" feelingOR73 wrote:what is that...beer machine? I have never seen it's like before
