Hi there everyone,

A message from Holland. Just found out about this forum and what a great idea this is indeed!! Chatting with other Orange lovers around the world. I have already noticed that people who now use Orange aren't any keen on Marshall anymore, well that includes me!! In the band I play in we use a Orange AD 30 head and a Orange 4x12 cab. Pretty soon there will be more of this in our backline!! I mean, what a difference the sound is!! It's clear, powerfull, fat, and everything else you can think of. Absolutely amazing. And yes,I'm selling my Marshall now. It's sad in a way,but the Marshall era has ended, and hello Orange!! I know,I'm a little bit carried away, but I've tried many amps with different settings and cabs, but the Orange cab sounded so much better,EVEN WITH THE MARSHALL AMP!!(well,I wasn't quite honest here before when I said I will sell my Marshall, but I was talking about another Marshall amp) So to get it straight,my Marshall MK 2 Super Lead combined with the 4x12 Orange cab is the best setting for me!! And the other is for sale.

What about the head then,I hear you ask. Well, the head is used by our lead guitarist,COMBINED WITH A MARSHALL CAB!! Can anyone say this is a strange setup, for us it proves to be the winning team!!
Are there anymore of such "strange" setups? Wanna know!

Well thats it for now. Hopefully we can help eachother out on whatever we want to know about Orange.

Cheers,

heya...i am currently shoppin for an orange...the first thing that really got me going on them was when i went and saw jimmy eat world here a few years back...after sneaking in coz i didn't have a ticket...i just had time to wade through the crowd, grab a brew and set myself up as close as i could get (which was pretty close in the end)...so they come out and its like cool here they go...so they play a song called praise chorus which starts with like a thin clean guitar riff then drops straight into a big low power chord (you've prolly hear it)anyway when they hit that power chord it was totally amazing! i nearly fell over the sound was so amazing!...i was stunned...so naturally i looked on stage and sure enough, a nice bright orange amp running into an old marshall cab if i recall correctly...since then i've wanted one, spec since I heard atdi as well! anyway thats a similar setup to you methinks...he ran a rat into it i read later, prolly chekc their website if you want details.

Hi QUOTATION

I've just bought an old 2x12 combo (OR80R), and it sounds fantastic by itself, but yesterday i plugged a marshall (yes, that's a brand of amplifiers for the masses) JMP1 midi preamp to the low input of the combo, and after a while i was playing really top quality sounds, both clean and distorted.

Hey! I like marshalls, don't take me too serious, it was only a way to show you how impresed i am with my ORANGE. (I wanted to say "my ORANGE" from a long time ago)

Any more "strange settings"?
We could give a (simbolic) price to the strangest setting.
