Does your FS-1 light up?

Mine (brand new) seems to switch fine but the indicator light doesn't light up.

Yes. And so should yours. Dead bulb or loose wire to the light? Easy fix I'd think but brand new so best just send it back.

Bulb is fine; I just ran 9V directly to it. Reheated the solder joints, still nothing. This just picks up 'phantom power' from a regular guitar cord, correct? Any footswitch I've had previously had it's own cord.

CR35LDX amp. I unplugged from the amp and touched the cord plug to the 9V battery and the bulb lights on & off with the footswitch activated, so it appears the pedal is fine. Amp not sending power?

The LED is indeed powered by the amp but while this works across most of the Orange range, this is not supported by the CR35LDX (or any of the entry level Crush series). Sorry :(

If you want it to light up, a battery and appropriate wiring mod should get the result - there's enough room in there...

No, if you can't tell if it's on, you probably don't need it, right?! Thanks everyone, at least I know it ain't broke!
