i'm really liking the cream/white switch tip.... the rest of it, do what you want!...

black rings would make it look classier, as would the black knobs...

When I bought my firebird I immediately swapped out the knobs with the ones on my Les Paul. Sadly the les paul looks like cheap BS now, but it's not like I ever play it outside the studio anyway.

The Firebird looks awesome! Do you think I should keep the gold knobs?

I think it looks good how it is..... I prefer my LP pickups to have the covers on them, but I think the gold knobs look good. it's up to you!

My old Epi LP was submerged in Katrina so i stripped all the hardware off, replaced it with gold, put on gold with pearl top Dream 180 pickups on it and it's the gaudiest thing ever! it actually looks good tho!

The cream pickup rings look much better to compliment the binding. The only change I would make would be replacing the cream Super Distortion with a black DiMarzio PAF. You could always go with a zebra DiMarzio PAF and a zebra DiMarzio Bluesbucker in the neck. The Bluesbucker sounds pretty close to a P-90 without the hum.

Gold knobs look better on everything. Interestingly enough, I actually quite prefer Epiphone's choice over Gibson's when it comes to this.

I think I'm gonna put gold covers over the PU's, maybe swap out the SD for a 500T. The black pickguard in position, keep the gold knobs. Classic Black Beauty style!

Today the tech picked it up for some makeover... A 500T is going to replace the SD, pickguard mounting, swapping the gold knobs and the créme rings, gold covers over both PU's, string and bridge adjustment, cleaning... It better be good.
