Black knobs are traditional on black Customs, the early ones had black P90s too. But you can do whatever you want to your guitar if it looks good to you.

I'm not particularly a fan of covered humbuckers, not only the way they look, but they seem to cause to spike certain frequencies when playing distorted.

I haven't made up my mind yet... I really like the gold knobs but wanted it to look classic by the book. Black knobs it is. :D

I much prefer the black knobs too. Really nice looking guitar.

You can call me superficial, but I wouldn't buy it with the gold hardware.... It'd have to be chrome....... I'm sooooo vain.....!!!!! :lol:

After the tech did some minor bridge and string adjustment the guitar simply plays by itself. :D The sound and feel are awesome! I would recommend anyone to try out the 500T PU by the way...
