Vintage Orange vids?

Post by Doctor Volume » Mon May 05, 2014 3:39 am

Been looking for some good videos for some vintage Oranges on YouTube. I'm looking specifically for reviews but concert footage works too. Any Peter Green is Greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Can I raise a practical question at this point? Are we gonna do "Stonehenge" tomorrow?

Just to get you started, You'll see loads of bands with Orange Amps at the Beatclub in Germany.

Here's Free

There's definitely an Orange head here being used by Fleetwood Mac in the 70s but its difficult to see ......best shot maybe 4.02.

It's good to hear those amps doing something besides straight doom-metal. They sound sweet!

Saw them with that same lineup in 1980, Sheffield City Hall... the first major band I ever saw at the tender age of 14 :)

All the other bands I saw around that time were using Marshall and the best description I can give in the sound comparison...
...take the Marshall sound, dial out half the high frequency sh!t and add a nice natural bottom end to the guitar tone :D

Tons of sustain and punchy tone without using a ton of gain...
Paul.

I don't think they would have perceived different styles of hard rock back then, they were all in the same category.
