Montage Cabs???

Post by bates » Sat Apr 12, 2014 7:30 pm

Has anyone else tried these???

I found them on the bay and got a 1x12 (unloaded) for £100. I put a CL80 in it and it sounds the nuts. Its closed back but with a panel for 3/4 back and its built like a tank.

I made a little video of it because i could not find any demos on youtube. Hopefully it helps them if people search for them because the price is awesome for what you get.

Sounds like a winner. I am guessing that they are made in Europe somewhere?

No they are made in china hence the reason they are so cheap. I only got it to try out a few speakers before putting them in more expensive gear but i was so impressed i got another cab straight away and stacked them as my main speakers :D

I might try the 2x12 when a next get paid.

I've got a V30 to put in the second one i bought.

With a name like that I thought you had to glue the wood and apply the tolex yourself.

It looks nice, but Thomann has loaded cabs for even cheaper.

LOL.....no its all wired up ready to go. Just chuck a speaker in :)

My uncle has a Taydon ace 50 that i'm gonna grab latter to try. Its Alnico so i think its Taydons version of a Celestion Blue or Gold.

I was gonna buy a Mesa 1x12 because i just fancied something other than Orange for a change. I'm glad i didn't cause these sound just as good as my old wide boy Mesa 1x12.

I have the 2x12 Intro model with G12H30's, yeah I like it. I don't have much experience with cabs though. Plus, there's now always a reason to start singing the 'we need a montage' southpark song during rehearsals!

Glad you like yours too. I'm thinking of getting a 1x15 cab next...

I'm suspicious of anything that doesn't have a manufacturer website. I know they're cheap - I know they're made in China.

The manufacturer is lean-business.co.uk. I have no idea at all why the Montage cabs don't have their own website but lean business is the biggest speaker dealer for the UK and the idea is to offer a cab to their customers and get a discount on the speakers.

The Intro cabs are made in china and the pro cabs are made in the UK. Good point though, they defo need to up their internet game
