Lovely guitar, man!myboss57 wrote:Very nice! That's the same finish I have, only mine is a '96. I do love that they changed back to the half pickguard style. Here's an older pic of mine right after I had the p-rail put in. All the knobs are disconnected, and the neck volume knob is the one that controls the pup volume. And the 3 way switch selects the pup between HB and P90.

Looks great! I played on one of the '60 Tributes for about a year but had to get rid of it when I had a chance to buy an all original stock '67 SG Jr. for a steal. Love the necks on the 60 SG's!

Gorgeous!! That thing looks just lovely! And really nice lined up with the rest of your guitars too. How's it feel/play?

Re: NGD!
Thanks, mate! It feels/plays good! The tone is slightly darker compared to the LP and not as much "cream" due to lower output bridge PU ('57 Classic on the SG, '57 Classic Plus on the LP). The feel is different but very appealing and "want to play more-ish"... It is a bit neck heavy but you get use to it in about 3 minutes. The "long neck-feel" is nothing that I care about. And the neck profile is awesome! I love the guitar!myboss57 wrote: Gorgeous!! That thing looks just lovely! And really nice lined up with the rest of your guitars too. How's it feel/play?

Very nice!!!!
I love the look of those, such sweet instruments! I'm surprised you say it's darker than your LP, SG usually are brighter - given equal pick ups.
Enjoy that!!!!

Re: NGD!
I know exactly what you mean with that description. The SG lends itself very nicely to playing a lot. It's really comfortable and the profile just feels right. As much as I tend to GAS for other guitars from time to time (the list is long!), I'll never part with my SG.Bensnake wrote:The feel is different but very appealing and "want to play more-ish"... Re: NGD!
Thanks! Regarding the darker tone, it may be just my first impression at a low volume setting. I didn't do a comparison between the two though I will do one tomorrow. Perhaps it's the lower output that fooled me. I use to have the treble knob right before noon, now I set it just past. But as I said, I will check this out after a good night's sleep...Les Paul Lover wrote:Very nice!!!!
