Hi together - since last month I play with an AD-30 Head & a 4x12" ORANGE Signature Cabinet (slope). It sounds absolutly amazing, you really can forget all other 4x12" cabinets! really! Before I had an AD-30R Combo. My little problem is to handle this cabinet at the gigs, it's very heavy & ORANGE did'nt fix any wheels on it! Why, what's the reason for that? My Dealer told me, that this cabinet MUST stand directly on the ground, otherwise you'll loosing sound!
So I tried this out and I hear absolutly no difference between the caninet on ground and the same on wheels! Dear Orange Stuff, please give me an answer, why I should getting sick on my back in future when I have to move this cabinet at the gigs! (believe me,I have many!)
Why you don't set the cabinets with four wheels like Marshall do this also? I'm very curious to get your answer. A professional guitarist in Switzerland ! www.talk2.ch, www.plan-b.ch Thanks in advance for your fast replay!

I've never heard anyone say that you couldn't put wheels on one... they'd have to be STRONG wheels though!

I use a tilt-back hand truck/ two-wheeler/ or bandmate to move mine.

Look on the bright side- it's cheaper than joining a gym to work out! Billy

Hi Billy
thanks a lot for your fast reply!
It's my dealer in switzerland who told me that, because he had
a long conversation about that at the Frankfurter Messe with Cliff Cooper, CEO from ORANGE! and ORANGE does NOT recommand wheels on it!
The reason -should be the floor contact who gives you more bass
when you play very loud! I think an stages with woodfloor this could be possible. Anyway, I think, I mount good wheels on it. I have to sleep about it.
Greetings from the land of milk, cheese and cows !

You could always try the Fender-type of wheels that pop in and out so wheel it in, pop out the wheels, cab sits flat on the floor! Best of both worlds!

Even with wheels added you still have to lift the cab at times. The wheels just added more weight!
A dolly or hand truck would be better, something with air filled tires, to handle bumps the wheels encounter.

Hi Guys
<
thanks a lot for your inputs! I still slept 'bout it and I think the solution with the Hand-truck (bclaire/meole),I have a very good one, is good enough! So I have nothing to change - no screws, no holes. So the cabinet rest in the original way. And for the transport in the car it's also more comfortable.

Good luck and plaisure with your ORANGE Baby's
