This was my contribution to that Gear Page thread.

I have gone from using my Hiwatt DR103 for guitar to now just using it for Bass. I get to open it up more without killing people over 100 feet away.

Luckily I have the SE4129 cab which is made for the Custom 200 for use as a bass or guitar cab.

How would I describe the sound? Not sure any more. It has become more of a feeling since my ears exploded.

I must be the odd one. I keep my amps like my cars, drive em till the wheels fall off.

I also have a Bugera V5 that I use as a stage monitor when playing with the church orchestra. I split the signal and also send a signal to the house mains via a direct box.

I have a Marshall JCM2000, a Crate GXT-210 I restored, and a Fender Rumble 150 bass amp. I also built a bluesbreaker from a kit. My wife is more on the low-gain end of the spectrum and has a wall of Voxes and Bugeras of assorted shapes and sizes.

My only non-Orange is a '78 Silverface Twin Reverb. I bought it years ago and UPS turned it into a basket case en route to me. I've finally brought it back to good health as of a couple years ago. I don't use it as much as the Oranges, but it's a wonderful pedal platform with headroom for days. It's quite a different beast than my TH100 for sure.

Reviving this thread made me miss my Hiwatt. Although I replaced it as a bass amp with the AD200B so it's not all bad

I still have the Clingan Radiation Spring but now also have a Clingan Vibe Deluxe tweed amp designed as a 40w version of the old 10w Vibe Deluxe from the 50s.

Not really playing guitar much these days though. It's all bass now.
