Does your RV50 hum a lot?
I've had an RV 50 about 3 weeks and I have noticed it really hums a lot when using the gain channel - much more than any other Amp Ive had, its not unusable by any stretch and does decrease slightly when the guitar is moved away from the Amp - I only use classic Rock levels of gain for all of my Amps. In comparison the chinese made 50 watt Vox Night train or indeed my AD30 were very quiet. I guess it could well be a valve .....but Do RV 50s hum a lot ?
I must admit when I tried it in the Shop using a Tele I did n't notice any extra hum

Mine doesn't unless I max out the gain with some serious volume. It's not dead quite either, and the dirty channels hums more than the clean one, but nothing serious. I think that's your amp/valve if you believe it hums too much.

Mine never did. Maybe some bad tubes? Lights? Wiring?

Re: Does your RV50 hum a lot?
I have some posters with fluorescent lights that cause extra hum/buzz if they are plugged in and more when they are on in my amps, so maybe something like that? are all the amps plugged into the same outlet?

I'm English: I really don't understand the American way of sounding like your slagging something off to mean it's really good!
