I'm a big Dyson fan myself, on my second one now. Though the first is still going strong!

Some design classics...
My end of the living room on a bass day. Some more design classics plus Willem kat.
We kind of go for the 'lived in' look...

Funny you should say that.Gray wrote:Your amp is missing its badge!

First thing I actually did with the combo. Well, maybe after soldering on a longer sturdier speaker cable. (Nothing wrong with the original cable except for the useless spade connectors. And the fact that it was too short for me to run to an amp head or attenuator sitting on the combo cab.)
Having said that I think that is the full extent of my R.30C vandalism. Its even still on the original valves.

Love to Billy but I'm battling the flu right now. I don't think I'd be too welcome. Lolbclaire wrote:Yeah, house for sure.

Gotcha... Nicole has a cold and she's home from work - last thing you'd need is a cold WITH the flu. If it's any consolation, I got the flu shot on Friday and I've felt like I had a mild case of the flu since....!Woodsie wrote:Love to Billy but I'm battling the flu right now. Hey just wanted to say that my room is actually in an apartment. We have a 2-floor flat and the basement is my man cave (I have a home theater and the room pictured). I just added a layer of quiet rock (well 2 layers actually) with the foam pyramids on top to control reverb and such...we own the level above as well so there is no danger we will disturb anyone.

Ok, I'm kinda cheating - we were in the studio today...

I think the centre of the speaker is right beneath the badge, atleast on mine it is. You can faintly see the speaker-circle on this photo:

Yep indeed - my point exactly! With mic'ing up while you don't always want to direct the mic right at the very centre of the speaker, sometimes you do. At least you want to have the option. Being able to carefully position a mic is the very basis of recording electric guitar - small changes in position can make big changes in tonality. If there is a bleedin' badge in the way hampering you though...misterfolkertsma wrote: Hum.

I´m not sure we're really saying the same thing here, I meant beneath the badge. Not behind it. While I don't prefer to point it dead centre either, I think I actually could if I wanted to by just putting it right beneath the 'A' on the badge (i.e. beneath on a vertical plain).
Re: How About We Share Music Rooms & Playing Areas?
We have a really nice rehearsal room/studio with one band with a sweet old Super Reverb in it (unfortunatelly not mine)
With the other band we got thrown out last month so all the amps are home and it Looks like this:

Was that a Harmony Rocket I saw in that first picture? Looks cool - I had one that a friend of mine found in the trash.... and I eventually sold it for a couple hundred bucks....

That Jazzmaster looks sooo sexy.
How do you like the m9? I have mine for a couple of months now and it has replaced some delays, reverbs and modulationpedals. The m9 plus 1-2 dirtpedals is versatile enough for the different situations and bands I play in.
Yeah, it's called Meteor Rocket I think and is from '59. It has superhot singlecoils in it (around 10k) and has lots of clarity still. Instant retro sound blues and soul.bclaire wrote:Was that a Harmony Rocket I saw in that first picture? Re: How About We Share Music Rooms & Playing Areas?
I love the M9, I've had it a few years now. I mainly use it as spring reverb, tuner and looper but its handy to have around for if I want to use an odd effect here and there like an octave down or trem and pitch vibrato. The '63 spring reverb setting is amazing,
