Oh Boy EBay blunder!

Post by msmith4432 » Sat Aug 31, 2013 2:34 pm

Well one of my hobbies is getting on eBay and making lowball bids, and when you do that long enough your going to end up with some things that you never thought you would win.

Well I just won an orange or15, I know we can't talk about prices of current production models but man I got this one pretty cheap! So while I don't really want it or need it, I'll play with it and put it on the local CL and have some fun with it until it sells.

I just played one in my local GC and was astonished at how loud it was and just the incredible tone of it. You may find you want to keep it!

I had an option when I bought my R30 recently. The ad15 was on sale for £200 more than the r30. Whilst the slightly smaller size of the ad15, I'm not really convinced that the 15watter is really any quieter at practice levels.

Anyway, I prefer EL34s and the deal on the R30 was just to good to pass up.

That does n't sound like a blunder but more like a no loose situation - play it - sell it - make a profile!

Your right, I owned one when they first came out and loved it, I was gigging quite a bit then and thought I would get a rockerverb 40 to give a little extra thump since people said the or15 was similar to the rockerverb. So I sold my or15 to help fund the purchase and I didn't bond with my rockerverb so it have no sold it.

I may end up keeping it for a while

Your right, not really a blunder but just wasn't prepared to fork out the cash, but it's a win win

Was this the one with Free shipping located in NY? If so, I went for a really good price. I was bidding on it too, but let it go because I really don't need another amp. Haha

Unfortunately the same thing happened to me when I won my #4 terror. I low balled the crap out this guy and he took it. Winded up get a practically brand new Jim root for the same price of three new celestion g12t-75's. not a bad score if I say so myself.

Nice, I'll take it when it happens, you just don't usually expect it and its kind of shocking when it does

I kinda think I like my OR15 more than my TH100.....of I didn't need cleans on a foot switch I'd sell the TH100. I am determined to try a OR100 though

Yeah it's a very cool little amp, man I wish it had a simple clean channel and it would really be great, very little cleans to speak of, at least at a higher volume
