That's exactly why Toyota stopped making the Supra. The Celica was vastly superior in every category. There was just no use for the dinky Supra. Also stopped making OR120's.Gray wrote:Orange stopped selling the Rocker so obviously the AD30 must be better.Jondog wrote:I really like the Natural channel alot, use it for different things. But, you have to buy the amp based on the Dirty channel.

I was being an ass. I don't actaully think the AD30 is better just because they stopped making the Rocker.Jondog wrote:Also stopped making OR120's.
There may be some truth to the sarcasam, though. The AD30 has been in continuous production for 12 years, the Rocker 30 came and went during that time.

I think Jimmy Page prefers the AD30 over the Rocker 30. It doesn't get any more definitive than that .
Now, everyone go buy a Sunburst Les Paul and some bedazzled pantsuits.

Re: Orange AD30R vs Rocker 30
I had a AD30 for a couple years and loved it. I was often playing my Gibson Les Paul Jr. straight into it, and it sounded perfect.
So much hype about the Rocker 30, I had too pick one up. It sounded good, but in my opinion, it sounded generic and somewhat "punky". The AD30 sounded loose, raw and organic and natural to my Les Paul and P90 pickup tone. The Rocker sounded sterile, crisp and just too predictable of a tone, lacked the character.
I had the Rocker about one-week before selling it. Shortly after, I sold my AD30 too because I needed more volume that could not being achieved with the amp. If I could, I would have moved over to an AD140, but another amp came along that filled my needs much better.
