...or get rid of it entirely. The OTR80/120 is a slight modification of the OR80/120, and those never needed standby switches. I just leave the standby switch in the on position on my OTR120 combo for that same reason.

Yes the same here. But it's never really been an issue.

Beautiful amp! If I recall, that's the version of the Overdrive that Noel Gallagher made suggestions about and Orange adopted...

Holy crap!

I didn't realise you were right near me! I'm in Marlborough - you're in Medford (Mef-ford) right? Wow... was just looking at craigslist for "Orange" and there you are!

Mmh... Considering your track record in buying orange gear you don't particularly need, that could easily turn into a NAD thread.... ;)

yup. didn't know it was specific to noel but just oasis in general. You're probably right since noel was the guitarist.

this was specifically modded for Noel then made as a production model. I read teh specs somewhere and heard or read an Ade interview about it. It may be in the Orange coffee table book.

+1

I just leave my OR120 cooking and turn the volume down during breaks. I've never had a problem w/out a standby switch.
