People have got annoyed here before because i have posted videos that may not be an example of general warm Orange tone, yet are all good examples of the versatility of the Rockerverbs. Hopefully people will be nicer this time.
This was just some messing around with a looper in the early hours of the morning whilst coming up with some ideas for a multi-genre project called Axolotl.
I'm sharing it for the icy black metal distortion of the Rockerverb. Although this is not stylistically similar to black or any other extreme metal, the tone is perfect. I am reworking the main riff into a black metal Axolotl track, to be fitted snuggly between some funny MIDI prog and some fat bassy dub..
Anyway, for the tones, not the music… and these ARE good examples of Orange tones, just like my other videos, there are many sounds to modern Orange amps and they are all worth sharing.
Hope you are all well and having fun!

Awesome. I've been looking at the Slim Phatty for a while now....how sick is the bass on that thing?

Not too found of overly categorising music into a narrow niche.
Regardless of what type you want to call it, that' a good trippy track. I like it!

I feel the same, about categorising music like that. That's not really what i meant and this track can't really be categorised as is, i usually mix far too many styles to be able to put a name to the music, but that riff will be in a track that i would loosely call black metal, for the atmosphere and tonal approach. It will sound very different to this though.Les Paul Lover wrote:Not too found of overly categorising music into a narrow niche.

And Wendigo, the bass on the Phatty is pretty amazing. Not very well captured here as this was just a laptop mic recording. It's not as fat as a Voyager or the old Minimoogs as it's just two oscillators, but a really versatile synth with some amazing tones, and it's still got the Moog bass sound.
I'm highly recommend trying one. the only down point is the interface (button selection with only one knob for each section) but you get used to it and can still be very expressive and hands on.
these are are a couple of other tracks with the synth if you're interested, although still not great recordings.
I usually run it through my AD200, but on the guitar videos it was going through my valve stereo amp.

these were through the bass stack, but just laptop mic recordings again, Crazy Goat has some good bass sounds:

and this has the best example of the tones, Phatty > AD200, recorded with an SM57, but better sound than the others.
It's pretty longs, but some really good examples of some of the bass tones, especially towards the end.
It's totally crooked and abstract though.
