How is the ad140?

Post by reallyloud » Mon Oct 08, 2012 10:55 pm

I currently play out of an ad30 and i love it, but I want to step into the major leagues, either a thunderverb or the ad140.Ive played the thunder and its beautiful but Im wondering is the ad140 the same as the 30 but with near four times the power?

Unless you play stadiums or need Orange tone with a lot of headroom, you're most likely better off with the AD30. You can get that one cooking - the AD140 will deafen you (if nicely) before you can drive it as hard as the AD30.

Hell, the AD30 is BLOODY loud already.

I appreciate the concern. However the ad30, which is petty darn loud and destructive is not destructive enough

As long as you use two 4X12's, pretty much yes...

Obviously it's not loud enough or he wouldn't have made the post.
