Post your band's link

Post by DiabloS » Tue Aug 28, 2012 3:01 am

I've been pleasantly surprised with the great recordings I've heard from other posters on this forum in the last little while. Just in the last week or so I've discovered a few great bands from some of the posters here and I always love to listen to new recordings that used Orange amps in the studio. I try to check out bands from people's signatures as much as I can, but I'm sure I miss some and some people just don't post that much. So if anyone's up for it, please share a link to your band's recordings and list the guitar amp(s) you used in the studio.

To get things started, the link in my signature was recorded with a Dual Terror.

I also really dug these 3 bands that posted stuff the last few days:

This was also recorded with a Dual Terror and a Micro Crush for leads

The song Masquerade used a RV 100 MKI and 75 OR 120 dimed through a BAT Pharoah.

Here's my band, FIRES. We are no longer a band, the drummer has moved on and the bass player and I (we're a 3 piece) have a new drummer and are starting a new, more aggressive band.

These two tracks were recorded with my Gibson SG Standard, my old Carbon Copy delay and DigiTech Reverb pedal, and put through my old Rockerverb 100 on top of a Marshall 1960A cab.

Me and the bassist are the ones yelling.

Apologies, I Have None / Four piece rock and punk type stuff. I play guitar and sing in the band. The other guitarist/singer uses a R30H through a 4x12. Bassist uses an Orange Bass Terror.

Mine's in my sig too - the site itself always has at least one track streaming, but if you want to buy our EP then it's on http://www.skullfunk.com/fr_home.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; :)

All recorded with my Dark Terror in 7W mode, no pedals. The guitar was my LTD EC1000 (the one in my sig picture)

Here's some unreleased tracks from my band The Stabilisers.
http://soundcloud.com/jon-stabiliser/sets" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We used to be on Little Steven's record label, Wicked Cool, but that fell apart, it's a long story . . .
Anyway on these recordings many amps were used, Orange wise there's quite a lot of Rocker 30 doing lead stuff, and virtually all the bass is done with a 79 Orange Super Bass.
Enjoy! And let me know what you think.
Cheers,
Jon

Hey thanks for posting our new song Diablo5! Much appreciated brother. About to do a whirlwind helluva release for the new EP over the next month or so. If anybody is interested in a sneak peak, PM me and I'll send you over a link to a site where you can stream all of the songs.

This EP has all Orange (OR120 and Rockerverb 100 MK1) and Gibson guitars. Joey put some additional info out - but a few more details on my rig breakdown. I was planning on using my Gibson SG 60s Tribute (P90s) but it was really noisy - mainly because my amp was actually kind of sick. Wasn't sounding quite right to my ears and I couldn't afford to get it fixed. I got laid off in 2009 for 6 mo and when we recorded last December, I was still really tight financially just getting back on our feet. I finally took it to my tech in January and it needed a lot of stuff - a couple of the tubes were about shot and it has a loose solder. So guitar wise, I used a stock Gibson Flying V (500T/496R) pickups. Great live guitar, but not my first choice for recording. Next time around, I'll probably my 76 Ibanez Les Paul with Dimarzio Super Distortions and record one track with the Orange and the other with my Sunn Enforcer - extra thickness! Joey will probably use a combo of his Orange/Matamp GTO 120/Sunn Model T! Next time around we'll do a full album.

Unfortunately I was only an orange user for a little while but the board is good so I linger, so no Orange content in these recordings. Check the link in the sig. In the mean time I think I'll write a blues song about how I wish I had a RV50 : )

Thanks buddy :)

Yeah, the bass player is great. Most annoyingly of all, he's actually a guitarist first and foremost; when he heard the jam the drummer & I had recorded he asked if he could come and throw some funky bass on it. When we said yes, he went home, borrowed a bass from his friend, looked at some slapping lessons on YouTube, then came to the studio and tore it up the following week :D
