Joyo pedals?

Post by nedcronin » Tue Aug 07, 2012 2:19 am

Hey have you guys used these? Especially the different OD's they have? The sweet baby seems like it may be mighty nice.

I have the vintage overdrive, it's basically a clone of an old tube screamer. I've compared it to a TS808, Maxon OD808 and a Visual Sound Route 808 and there really isn't much difference. Of all of those it was most close to the Maxon. I also have the Ultimate Drive on its way to me, which is supposed to be an OCD clone and was involved in a bit of a scandal before. I had ordered one of their newer pedals, the analog delay but it arrived faulty and I'm still waiting on a replacement, Luckily I ordered from a UK based store and not directly from overseas.

I really recommend checking out the vintage overdrive if tubescreamers are your thing.

I just got a Mooer Trelicopter which I think is the same as a Joyo pedal.
I plugged it in and it sounded great at any setting. It is also built really sturdily.

The best part is that it is tiny and cost me a whole $55AUD to have shipped from China to Australia and arrive in 4 working days.

Exactly the same pedals are sold at Thomann branded with "Harley Benton"...

I guess, when I order 10000 in China, I could print "Smurfshit" on it...

The "Ultimate Drive" shall be a perfect clone of the Fulltone OCD. Maybe I check this one out in the next few days...
