Good choice- you are going to be SO happy with this amp. Here's some tips for dealing with people's comments when they hear you with the Orange:
Audience: Wow! What a great amp! You(humbly): Thanks... it's great, isn't it?
A: Man, you get such great tone! Y: Thanks...
A: Wow, your guitar sounds great! Y: Thanks....
A: Wow, I didn't know you could play like that! Y: Thanks...
and so on. Not that anyone's playing isn't there or is there but I've found that anytime I'm playing an Orange, it brings people out of the woodwork to talk to you about it. Particularly other guitarists with Orange envy <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thanks Billy,
I appreciate the tips. Those reasons are all pretty much why I bought the amp!
I do wish it had a tad more gain though. What about using an overdrive with these?
I have pulled two tubes to try and saturate the tubes a little earlier with moderate success. I plan on spending the day with her alone at the rehearsal space today. Even with the master volume I find it tough to get that "orange" tone without crankig her up to 11.
Thanks again!
Eric
p.s. I got the amp for a steal too $1050 us. not too shabby eh?

Good amp choice!
An easy way to deal with the volume whilst cranking for tone
is a good set of earplugs; takes the edge off.......
Seriously, a powersoak(or as Marshall used to make "Powerbrake")
between head and cab works wonders. However, eearplugs are cheaper;
anyone askes you to "turn down", give them a pair too.
11 IS BETTER!
