so i've been checking out the empress multidrive lately, for those not in the know, its an overdrive, distortion and fuzz in one box. however, rather than being wired in series for stacking, the signal's split in parallel taken through each of the effects, then you can mix the level of each at the output.
it aparently allows you to boost clarity with higher gain, as you can set the overdrive nice and low to retain the note definition and then use a higher gain setting from the distortion section.
what other pedals offer the parallel mix option?
i've seen the way huge camel toe - which might as well not exsist!
does the fulltone plimsoul run in parallel, or does it feed stage 2 from the overdrive section when it hits a certain stage?
also, the soundblox distortion from source audio does something similar, though it splits the signal into eq bands to process it, then mixes it...
i also know of the sparkle drive and the moller, but i'm not looking for a clean blend, more subtle soft clipping and hard clipping...
