Man, was that an Orangasm or what? I gotta get myself a headstock cam!

Also I enjoyed how the video was done with a normal guitar and minimal shredding. The riffing/chording was a tone demo, though it still seems like there's some studio magic involved.

Very cool video, nice little tune too. However I really don't think that gives me a clue what the amp can do, it looked and sounded cool though.

I think I need to compare that recording to the one from Doug's cell phone to get a better feel for the voicing.

sounds good. but i still miss the vids by Ade. those are the ones that really helped me decide which amp was for me. I could get virtually any orange to pull off that tone in the vid, didn't help much to show off the individual character of the amp.

That cabinet is really interesting. What are those orange "Voice of the World" speakers?!
Cool tone in the video. I would like to hear it without the delay.

The voice of the world speakers are made by orange, they are similar to v-30s but somehow not exactly a copy. I have heard them say that they are not a "modern voiced speaker" and of course suppose to be voiced very well for orange amps.

Hey All,

Doug and I have spoken at length about what kind of demos we want to do these days. Believe me when I say this, the tone you're hearing is nothing but the guitar into the amp - sometimes with a pedal through the FX loop - and zero "studio magic" outside of tweaking to ensure it sounds good through any type of speaker (computer, home, studio monitors, etc.). We listened when everyone complained about us having "too many pedals and effects" in our videos :-)

Also, we decided to get rid of the talking and focus on the tone. But the reason we add a backing track is so that we can "frame" the amp properly. For instance, the OR15 was engineered with the intention it would be sold as a vintage-sounding amp. In our opinion, it does way more than just classic rock, but it is definitely amazing at that style as well. There's enough gain in this beast to conquer almost any modern tones. But there's also enough gain to knock faces off of heads when you want hot as hell leads. Like all of our amps, it does a number of things well.

There are a few demo videos that tackle the OR15 in more depth. Chappers did a good one. There will be more. But to get the idea across to as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time, we think the video we created accomplishes that goal. However, we're ALWAYS reading your comments and taking them to heart, so please continue the discussion and thank you for watching!!!

Cheers!

I gotta say I like this concept for video demos. In a perfect world it could be three different tunes that cover clean through full gain. I am going to try this amp out on tuesday.

Good Vid and the Strat OR15 combination sounds very nice - I 'm sure its going to be a big seller.

I understand your thinking on the video and as u say its a 'Compact Demo' it certainly wont be long before there are loads of other more in depth 'reviews'.
