So Nicole and I got married over the weekend - an absolutely perfect day: sunny, perfect temperature that you won't roast in a tux, and lots of great friends! Plus it was at Nashoba Valley Winery which made it even more perfect. Great food, great wines and beers, and great friends... I had just finished her wedding ring two days before for maximum sparkle! and we sprung my mom from the nursing home as well! Lots of musicians and art teachers there! Our first dance was to our own version of Ryan Adam's When The Stars Go Blue that Nicole and I recorded in ProTools. Me on drums, bass, acoustics, and Fender Electric XII plus Nicole and I on vocals. Kind of a Ryan Adams/ Corrs mix arrangement. This mix is all acoustic with electric bass and Fender Electric XII. We borrowed Sheryl's Avalon 737sp mic pre and her Neumann U87 for vocals. I did record a guitar track with my gold leaf Tele through my OR80M head but it detracted from the "air" in the mix. I may do a more electric remix when I get back from the honeymoon. plus I finally got to see Nicole's wedding dress that had been under wraps for months. My niece, Sarah, had shot bridal pictures and took this one:
Pretty cool. Yeah, I know it's a guitar in front of a bass rig but it's cool nonetheless!

We had an afterparty back at the house on the lake and had a ton of fun... firepit, music, etc.
We're off to the UK, Paris, and Rome (and back to the UK) for our honeymoon tomorrow!
