NAD - OR15 Content!

Post by RickenBangler » Thu Jun 14, 2012 3:04 pm

It's here :D

No valid opinions yet as I've only just fired her up. Definitely a more modern voicing than the TT (which is the only thing I have to compare it to) but able to get into the TT zone with some tweaking. Sounds huge with a bigger bottom than the TT and I think there could be a tendency to fizziness - but hey, my ears are shot and I'm no expert...

I think this is going to be a keeper for me. Oh yeah, I know, pics or it don't exist...

Congrats!

I'm quite surprised about it having a more modern voice than the TT and about the fizziness. Please post more impressions further!

But that's a Shure PG57 in front of it? Cheap mic in front of an expensive amp! Get yourself a Shure Beta, SM, or a Sennheiser...

Like I said, don't take too much notice of my ears - I think I could've been wrong about the fizz now... loving it so far.

Just use it for getting down ideas - not used in anger. Good little mic for the dosh and a good one to chuck in the gig bag - been a life saver on a couple of occassions!

Cheers,

Looks sexy on the cab! Is it a 1x12 or 2x12ob? Not sure on head size but looks lovely.
Tone is everything

Aw! Looks soooooo cute!

Bet it can kick some serious arse though! Congrats!

And those ears are no excuse, you'll be the 1st review, we expect (want/beg you for) it to be comprehensive, accurate and professional like.

Yes, i know, men have crumbled under the weight of less expectations before. But we are, after all, very excited about this amp, and will use this to justify our wholly unreasonable request.

Sounds fair to me....!!

Cool, glad to see someone finally got one of these! The way you're describing it compared to the TT is kinda how I heard it from the youtube demos too... but we all know it's not the same as playing it in person. Congrats on the new amp!

Yeah I'm happy to hear it can be used kind of as a tiny terror with a full EQ! Mine should be here this month. I can't wait!

It also looks awesome on a PPC112. Really completes the mini stack look.

I did notice the fizz in the demo videos. Maybe a pre-amp tube change would help. Eager to get mine and do a little tweaking.

i'd be eager to see a comparison to the Jim Root signature. it seems like they've got identical features (15W, same controls, FX loops, 4 gain stages, power switching) and identical descriptive terms (fizzy, big bottom).

It looks great, especially atop the PPC112s.

I was pretty set on this for awhile but I am thinking that I will hold out for a rocker 30. I wish it wasn't so small.
