You Dirty B**tards Strymon!

Post by OU818 » Mon Apr 16, 2012 11:40 am

I finally cave in and buy a Tremolo last week after hunting around for ages.
I ended up getting the VFE Old School which is a rather cool pedal...

Then I see this...

They just posted sound clips.

Looks like my Old School trem may be getting retired in a month or so.

That looks really nice... I only use two pedals at present, a EHX Holy Grail and a Catlinbread Tremolo. I could go down to just one pedal 8)

Deluxe Guitars reckon that there will be a 3 month delay as Australia is always left till last.
Looks like an import or a long wait.

If I get one first I will let you know how it is.

Crikey, I love my Fulltone Supa Trem but this thing looks like the perfect solution - quality maker, lots of voicing options, 2-in-1 pedal, and it would free me up completely in selecting a combo amp for tone and tone alone rather than limiting my choices to reverb-equipped models. In other words, the boutique amps with their minimalist panels would become possibilities.

^probably $300. that's their standard price for all of their pedals ($200 for their compressor and $450 for the Timeline are exceptions) strymon sells direct, but they just announced it. i'm not sure when it'll be available.

by the way, everybody needs a Timeline/El Capistan. just saying.

They've stated $299 and 30-45 days until shipping.

Strymon won't sell direct to Australia as they have a distributor. Unfortunately the distributor is hopeless and sets the RRP as $399.

I reckon it'll be an eBay purchase for me.
