Have you noticed the price of used Rocker 30's going up?

I have been looking for one of these for the last 6-10 months. It seems like the price of a used head has gone from around $750-800 to over $900. Is this because they are no longer being produced and people are holding on to them? Or is it because they are no longer being produced which is causing people to want them more? Or both? I used to own an R30 combo and sold it three years ago. Now I want a head.

I haven't noticed...in fact I almost bought I head on the bay a couple weeks ago for 650. Seems there is always a combo for sale locally too and they always go for 800 or less.

They are probably be artificially inflated by the idea of rarity.

They should return to normal after the OR15 comes out as that will divert peoples attention away from the Rocker.

yeah, these aren't rare, just like the marshall 2203's aren't rare, but people price em like they are sometimes. Patience will almost always reward a potential buyer.

i had trouble selling my combo + ppc112... the dude who ended up buying it got a bargain - but no matter - i was not sorry to see it go

their prices are very low in england's been tracking combo prices, they're around £300 on ebay. That's less than half the new price, nevermind ebay fees....

i'm pretty sure this whole thread is breaking forum rules of mentioning used prices. regardless, over here they've consistently been at least $800-900+ canadian (which is basically par with US currency now)

There is a R.30 head and 2x12ob for £780 on eBay now for uk folk. Also a combo which is currently on £70ish with 2 days left which I'm keeping my eye on.

You just have to look around. Although, living in a more populated area helps get the deals which are usually on Craigslist and not eBay. I paid $700. I do think the amp is well worth the $1500 or so that it originally sold for so I see no reason not to snag one! Best amp I've ever owned... so far at least.
