What would be the best Orange for a blues/rock band
I thought this might be an interesting poll. BTW, you can vote twice since I know most of you will be torn between the Micro Terror and some of the other options.
I've mentioned a few times on here that I've started a new project that predominantly plays 60-70s roots rock or blues/rock as well as some blues standards and actually some straight ahead funk. So since I don't have a lot of choices and places to play Oranges loud I thought I would poll it.
I would say the requirements would be I would need a semi clean tone, a mid dirt and a heavier OD/Fuzz for some of the fun stuff but obviously pedals will be involved.
What says the community? What is the best amp for blues/rock?
Some of the artists we'll cover:
Hendrix, SRV, Clapton, Allman Bros, The Meters, Buddy Miles, Sly & Family, Johnny Lang, CCR, Mayer and quite a few others.

Doesn't seem to what to let me vote for some reason, but I'd have to say, without a doubt, the OR50 is the best for blues rock.

Wow, I can't submit a vote either. I've tried to chance all of the parameters of the poll itself and it still won't work. Polling function fried?

I'd say the RV50 is the best blues machine i have yet to try - its tone is really warm and smooth, can be set to be really loose and mellow with the damping switch on low too.
Then i'd pick the AD30.
In fairness, they will all do it very well.
Never tried an OR50, mind you.

I'd say literally any of them probably! Well, take out the tube screamer that you have out front of the Terror and bob's your uncle!

even if i could vote, i have nothing to contribute other than, I think the AD30 should do fine. that's what i use mine for. And pop rock, grunge, classic rock, alternative.pretty much anything.

I'm gonna guess the OR50. I'm picking that purely because I'd expect it to cover the old Marshall sound better than most... not to say that most of the others on the list couldn't handle it well either though.
Re: What would be the best Orange for a blues/rock band
Yeah, I was going to choose the OR50 as well.

i say AD30. but an OR would do the job too. or a dual terror. though in the Doppler demo of the RV50, he gets a great blues tone with the strat.
