i dunno, i could do without dave's theatrics, but eddie stills rips, alex is still great, wolfgang can pull off a decent michael anthony backup vocal...dave certainly isn't always singing all the words, or singing as good as he used to. but i don't think it sounds all that bad for a band that been rocking for over 30 years and pretty much all older dudes.

I don't know, it sounds the same to me. It sounds like Dave is being lazy with his vocals, but in the end, he's hitting the notes as well as he ever did.

it seems like a lot of the other bands from the 80s. a lot of them are just getting too old to put on the kind of high energy show we're used to seeing from that era. in other words, they're starting to act their age! in both their gestures and in their apparent lack of movement compared to 30 years ago. i'm just as disgusted looking at Alice Cooper performing nowadays for much of the same reason.

Dave is the only problem and about 50% of that problem could be solved with a mic stand.....so awkward to look at.

saw them in 2007 and have to agree they aren't what they used to be. Although I don't think Dave was every really a great live singer, he just had the charisma and showmanship to be an incredible front man. I read once that Eddie was saying Dave could only ever sing one line at a time, and after seeing them I kind of have to agree, but he worked the crowd like a front man should and attempted his old high kicks a couple of times, granted they weren't quite as high up as in the Jump video but again that was almost 30 years ago now dam I hate getting older

I have always viewed the hand-held mic as an anachronism given the advances in headset technology.

And then I see videos like this and realize that without a prop a vocals-only frontman looks like nutter walking around his living room singing along to records.

Long live the full-sized mic and stand.

i've seen them many times, from the 70's through the 80's, from dave through sammy.

dave never could get it right live. he lagged on most every song; i attributed it to drugs.

i have a relative that interviewed him and he's a three dollar bill, if you get the drift. maybe that makes him tired.
