I'm in London from the US and want to see an Orange showroom

Post by OrangeThunder » Fri Mar 16, 2012 9:43 am

Is there a factory showroom or tour that me and my bandmates can see while we are over here in London? I'd hate to miss an opportunity to see the home of Orange while I'm here. HELP? Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys,
Jack

There isn't one that I know of. I recommend visiting Denmark Street though.

Give them a call see what they can do. Not to far from London.

Marshall is in Milton Keynes about 30 miles away and they do tours.
Maybe interested?

Hell yeah! Nothing quite like a pint of hobgobelin to add merriment to any occasion. Or perhaps two?

As for Orange tours, never contacted them for that, but finding a dealer that has a reasonnably full line of them can be problematic..... :(

Never seen a shop with a big amount in stock either.

I was told by a shop who doesn't stock them there hard to find in shops because the profit margin is very small and the price to actually purchase them is exspensive so alot of people won't stock them. He loved the sound of orange and said he owned one but wouldn't stock them.

I've seen a bunch on Denmark St. If you get down to Brighton, I'd bet GAK has a lot, too....

As far as beer, go to a CAMRA pub:

GAK is a very impressive shop!

Never seen so many guitars, and I hear their amp stock os pretty impressive too.

And brighton's a nice place to boot!

Brighton's awesome, and GAK is VERY well outfitted with gear! I've found US-made things there that I can't even FIND here at home! Plus lots of Orange!

Thanks guys... Great ideas. Now I've got to go find a proper Irish pub since it is St. Patty's day.

BTW, if you are ever in Denmark (or live in Denmark), be sure to check out Woodstock Guitars in Arhus. I was there on business about a year or so ago and the owner welcomed me in with coffee, the best service, free roam of his amazing vintage looking shop with new and vintage gear from Gibson, Orange and Marshall, and even though he knew I wouldn't be buying anything (Danish VAT @ 25%) he welcomed me and my bassist to jam on every bit of Orange gear he had (which was more than I've seen anywhere - practically a "loud" room full of Orange. An experience I'll never forget... I didnt leave him completely empty-handed - I noticed he had a pic collection and (luckily I always carry a couple pics) I offered him what I had from a recent trip to Beale Street and Gibson... He chose the Beale Street pic that my wife bought for me - don't tell her that I gave it away. Anyway, it was there that I got to choose side-by-side Thunderverb vs. Rockerverb (an invaluable sonic experience), and as you can see from my sig, you know which one won...

If you are visiting Europe this week then take the train to Frankfurt - Germany. It is the annual Frankfurt Musik Messe - the biggest music fair in the world. You will be in guitar/amp heaven!
