Rockerverb MKII FX loop, how do you use yours?

Hi all, after may agonizing months of deliberating, I finally have made my decision regarding a new amp,
a Rockerverb 100H MkII with DIVO.........nice

I have just one question to ask you good folks regarding the effects loop, how would you use it levels wise?
Ill be using a TC Electronics G-Major 2 multi effects unit in the loop

I have never really dealt with an amp before that didn't use a global master volume, so the way I see it,......

I would crank the volumes on the clean and distorted channels to balance them out level wise, then set the input level on my multi effects unit, then use the output level control on my effects unit as a global master volume going into the power section?

is this how most people would use it, or am I missing something basic here?
I don't have the amp here yet to start experimenting, so I need some advice from you lovely people before I pull the trigger
