Re: Tele Cabronita Esquire
$399 get that thing. That is almost the exact guitar I plan to build one day.

Haha, I'd love to - but the wife would kill me since, while that is affordable, we have a lot of other things that we need to pay for.

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked about this guitar - especially because I've been thinking about getting a TV Jones (just a bridge pup) for my current (only) bridge pup in my SG. I wonder if I could justify it to the wife, since this is only a couple hundred more than the pickup?? haha. It doesn't help that I've heard nothing but good things about the Classic Vibes too!

Re: Tele Cabronita Esquire
That thing is pretty sweet. I'm wary of why he didn't post a pic of the back with that new routing.
Re: Tele Cabronita Esquire
That is rad.... and a perfect accompaniment for your sg.

Yeah, I'm sort of wondering (and wary) whenever I hear of a guitar needing to be routed for anything. Could be a reason for the great price. Although, otherwise it looks and seems sweet. And from the post, it sounds like the guy/gal knows what they were doing, or at least what they are talking about - so it's possible that it's nothing bad there.indianDYsummer wrote:That thing is pretty sweet. Each time i start craving, i begin the process of breaking down my girlfirend. first with stage 1 - sheer endurance, non stop talk of needed product usually gets me to 2nd base. Stage 2 - convincing her i am not greedy or selfish and actually normal, by sending her here she can see others who suffer from the condition known as GAS which makes her subconsciously want to help.
This is sometimes enough depending on the cost, to secure said product.
...If not, then stage 3 automatically kicks in..... sulking.... i am world class at this.

If you're primarily a Gibson man you're probably not going to take so well to the feel of a fretboard that is too cambered and longmyboss57 wrote: Thanks for helping cure my GAS! not.
Re: Tele Cabronita Esquire
That's one sexy Tele!! Get it and ignore your wife/girlfriend.
Just say you want a 3000dollar Gretsch or Tele and then get that one, she'll be happy you didn't buy the expensive ones....
I wouldn't put a TV Jones in the SG, I think you have the SD P-Rails if I'm correct, which has the P90 in it, and that combination rocks!!! If you do put a TV Jones in your SG, let me know what you think of it!!
Cheers

It does look awesome I must agree...
And just to further restore the GAS balance your way a Tele into an old Orange just sings
bold bright guitar into a bold fat amp = great balance

Damn.
If I hadn't dropped $400 literally an hour ago on a set of Lollars for my tele I would so snatch that thing up!

Everyone tells me they're crazy. Well crazy people aren't so f**king boring. So wake me when you're through being cool, cause I'm snoring...
Re: Tele Cabronita Esquire
Damn - thanks for the offer brianr! I'll let you know. I'm hoping that I can just procrastinate long enough on it so that it just gets sold and is out of my hands!
I do have the p-rails, but I'm not sure I'm liking them as much as I used to, and I've heard/read nothing but good things about the TV Jones pups.
I played some Teles back when I was getting that Mustang (that I only had briefly) and I really liked them - I was very close to purchasing one, and probably might have if A) the model I played wasn't so expensive (can't remember which one it was) and B) if I had only known then about the Esquires.
And Icarus: I definitely know what you mean with the breaking down thing! I definitely use some form of that type of manipulation. Luckily, she is understanding more or less since her father (also a musician) is the exact same way - so she knew what she was getting into!
